Message

I would like to convey my heartfelt congratulation to International Angel Association for its 25th Anniversary of its field activities in Bangladesh. Today NGOs play an important role in the social development of developing countries. I am pleased to see a Japanese NGO like International Angel Association, who is one of the most dedicated organizations, working hard for poverty alleviation and socio economic development of Bangladesh.

I would like to express my sincere respect to International Angel Association and its supporters for their long unrelenting efforts in the fields of education, handicraft training, agricultural training, women welfare, health care, sanitation, rehabilitation and so on.

Japan and Bangladesh have been maintaining steady and friendly relations for almost 40 years. Since Bangladesh’s independence, Japan has been supporting Bangladesh, especially in the field of economic and social development. Major areas of our assistance are, 1) Agricultural and rural development, 2) Improvement of social areas (basic human needs, health care, etc) 3) Infrastructure building for investment and export promotion and 4) Disaster relief Japan also provides assistance directly to some NGO’S under the Grant-Assistance for Grass-roots Human security projects (GGHSP) which started 1989.I believe the cooperation between Japanese Government and NGOs will make our efforts much more effective and productive.
